Graduate of the 3000 hour Massage Therapy Program at MaKami College.

Leading up to massage therapy my career path originated in the construction industry which has taught me a lot about my own body. I was quite stubborn and naive when it came to looking after my body and mind with the benefits of massage, however, when I discovered the sense of well-being and active release from my very first experience it was life changing for me. I’ve learned we all require maintenance and it is critical to preventing the loss of everyday movements we sometimes take for granted.

Muscles have always intrigued me in multiple ways, I often research injuries and conditions that can diminish our enjoyment of playing the sports we love and extreme chronic issues that can arise or stem from a simple fall. My goals and objectives are endless in regards to solving those sometimes painful and unexpected issues that we endure throughout life with therapeutic massage treatments.

I am a very active and competitive individual who enjoys competing in and watching every sport out there. Staying in tune with my body is very important to me and I feel that sharing my knowledge of anatomy, stretching, posture and massage will aid others through their struggles. My deep understanding of training gives me the opportunity to develop a treatment plan that works to its full capacity and ends with positive results.

I look forward to serving new and existing clients at Therapeutic Body Concepts.

I had the pleasure of graduating from the 2200-hour massage therapy program at MacEwan University in 2020.

I have always wanted to help people directly which led me to enroll in the kinesiology program back in 2013 at the UofA where I could learn about the body and take a step into the health care world. I quickly realized that massage therapy was the path that would bring me the most happiness assisting others as well as the scheduling flexibility that I craved, and that has since proven true. I love the variability from client to client since no two bodies are exactly alike and require me to be very engaged in developing treatment plans with various modalities and homecare recommendations.

Working with each individual person to reach their physical, mental, and emotional goals is so rewarding. I look forward to combining my kinesiology and massage therapy knowledge to best serve my clients’ well-being as well as continuing to learn and improve my skills at Therapeutic Body Concepts.

Jennifer is fluent in French.

Jennifer is a Manual Osteopath and Massage Therapist. She’s very passionate about her work and absolutely loves the challenge each new client brings and says it’s like putting pieces of a puzzle together. Her ultimate focus is pain management and restoration of mobility. She wants to make sure her clients are able to live a pain-free life to their fullest potential.

Her specialty as a therapist is osteoarticular corrections (assisting in moving bones) as well as myofascial soft tissue release which feels like a very deep tissue massage. Her hands are strong enough to get to the deepest layers of muscle tissue and her touch is gentle yet soothing enough that she can manipulate around sensitive tissues. She’s very intuitive and sometimes she puts everything she knows scientifically aside and trusts her intuition and keeps searching further all of the other systems until she finds what is specifically wrong, then she fixes it.

While she’s working she is great at educating her clients so they know what she’s doing and why she’s doing it. She gives everyone specific tidbits of information so they can confidently go home and treat themselves for the little aches and pains. She will talk throughout the treatment as your feedback is necessary so she can work with you to try and fix the issues as effectively as possible. If you require a quiet massage or treatment, she can accommodate to that as well.

On her free time she likes to spend quality time with her child and they absolutely love going to the mountains to recharge and energize. They enjoy the simple things in life and they especially love camping, hiking, fishing, target shooting and the outdoors.

I became a massage therapist in 2018 because I wanted to make a positive change in this world. I wanted a career where I could help people feel healthy and able to continue doing the things that they love.

Over the last couple of years, I have been trained in sports massage, myofascial remodeling, traditional Thai massage, cupping, and prenatal massage. I have had mentors from several different backgrounds varying between extreme deep tissue, therapeutic sports massage to the quiet craniosacral approach. Within my practice, I prefer incorporating all of my backgrounds to fit the specific reason my client is coming in.

As an athlete, I know firsthand how debilitating injuries can be and how some symptoms never seem to go away. I use my experience from past injuries to help me understand where my clients are at and to formulate more sustainable treatment plans. I specialize in myofascial remodeling and visceral manipulation with the intention of breaking down scar tissue to improve movement for vital structures within the body.

I am also a Manual Osteopathic Therapist! An excellent way of simplifying what an MOT does is creating balance within the body so all structures perform optimally. Under the scope of MOT, I can do osteoarticular adjustments which are joint realignments, visceral manipulation, advanced myofascial remodeling, craniosacral, and advanced lymphatic drainage treatments. Individually each treatment can be useful however when combined into a manual osteopathic treatment all adjustments can be longer-lasting and have a better effect on the body.

I look forward to seeing you in my treatment room!

“I graduated from Macewan University’s 2200 hour Massage Therapy program in June of 2018. I have always been interested in human anatomy, movement, and function from a holistic point of view. This led me to pursue a career in massage therapy.

I have been trained in various massage techniques such as Swedish/relaxation, deep tissue, hydrotherapy, myofascial release, and many others. My goal is to enhance one’s overall well being by improving mobility, reducing pain, and decreasing stress.

I am excited to continue on with my education as I am currently enrolled in the Acupuncture program at MacEwan University.

I look forward to adding more tools to better treat each individual I see. I am excited to join the talented and knowledgeable practitioners at Therapeutic Body Concepts.”

Hi, my name is Jordan Belanger and I graduated from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy and the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada, both with Honours with Distinction, and I am part of MOCC’s faculty.

I became a Massage Therapist because I am passionate about helping others, I’ve always wanted a career where I could make a difference in peoples lives and help others feel better, Massage Therapy and Manual Osteopathic Therapy gives me the opportunity to do that!

I am passionate about treating the everyday population from babies to adults, but some of my favourite clients to treat are ones who have been in MVA’s, people who have had concussions or head traumas and athletes who have had sports injuries. As someone who has had multiple concussions and injuries from sports, I know from my own experiences how exhausting injuries can be and how important it is to get treatment in order to recover and feel better! I create client-centred treatment plans to help you feel better in your body and enjoy a pain free lifestyle.

I am committed to learning and expanding my knowledge to provide new ways to help my clients through both my Massage and Manual Osteopathy practices. I specialize in Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation and with the intention to decrease the stress put on your nervous system which can heighten your pain response and to bring your body back into a healing state which can eliminate your pain!

I also specialize in Neural Manipulation which is treatment of your nerves, this treatment can help with sciatica, numbness in the toes, carpal tunnel syndrome, numbness in the fingers and so much more!

I am not only a Massage Therapist, but I am also a Manual Osteopath! As a Manual Osteopath, I help your body heal by getting to the root cause of your symptoms, this is done by creating balance within your body so it can function optimally. During an MOT appointment I can treat your organs using Visceral Manipulation, treatment of the bones and joints using Osteoarticulations, treatment of your skull bones, hips and spinal fluid using Craniosacral therapy, Advanced Myofascial Remodelling which treats your connective tissue (fascia), and lastly your lymphatic fluid using Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

I do provide those treatments individually within my massage practice, however, when they are put together within a Manual Osteopathic treatment they have a profound effect on your body to provide a long-lasting effect for relief of your symptoms!

I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your healing journey!
