Hi, my name is Rosa, and I am a registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in Edmonton – Canada. First, I would like to tell you a little about my experience in the health and fitness industry. I have a degree as a Physiotherapist from my home country Colombia in 2003. For many years I was working with countless people who had physical limitations due to past injuries and/or muscular imbalances, then when I arrived in Canada I decided to work with YMCA as a personal trainer and cardio dance instructor until 2019. In Canada, my focus has always been to renew my studies and re-enter my field, as a result, I enrolled as a registered Massage Therapist. This has provided me with opportunities to refresh and gain new knowledge in two different areas of work that are very compatible together.

Now the sum of my knowledge, my experience and above all my passion for what I do that is helping people minimize their bodily pains through manual therapy, helping athletes looking to improve performance, or anyone seeking to improve overall wellness are my sole focus.

I love helping people transform their relationship with health from frustrated, confused, and overwhelmed to empowered, engaged, and excited by taking ancient wisdom and combining it with modern science and digital technologies to create a natural system of medicine that consistently delivers incredible results to my patients and clients.

As an Acupuncturist, I’ve trained at MacEwan University, going through extensive hours of supervised practice. Later implemented my new skills in my own practice while investing myself into continued education, exploring and learning advanced acupuncture styles & techniques. This is a lifelong journey and I’m very excited about its numerous paths and mostly, about the change and the discoveries I’ll make along the way.

I am dedicated to my patients’ health and to the lasting global health. This means getting rid of undesired symptoms, increasing quality of life and ultimately in optimizing all vital functioning.

I understand, through my own life and through treating others, that health for the long term is not about a magic pill, it is about a balanced lifestyle in all aspects of it; it is about taking responsibility for our own, for each other’s, and the planet’s health. This is made easiest through creating an environment, culture and infrastructure that fosters mindful living.

I help my patients identify what is causing their problem, what will manage or resolve it by creating a wholistic and healing environment, and providing custom treatments based on each unique condition to accelerate the healing process.

As a patient, you in turn, must accept only the best for yourself to help make this a reality, and to remove the idea of failure from your mind; there is only winning and learning!

I use a combination of ancient, tried and tested methods, leading edge natural science, and the newest digital technology because it is all medicine.

I am committed to balance, harmony and vitality, in body, in mind, in spirit, and in society. This is my passion and purpose, my whole focus.

My interests outside the clinic include camping, traveling, hiking and the great outdoors as a whole.

With a profound interest in women’s hormonal health, mental-emotional well-being, and the intricate connection between mind and body, I bring a unique blend of expertise and compassion to my practice.

Hi! My name is Chantal 😊

I graduated as an RMT in January 2021, and have been enjoying this rewarding profession for 3 years now! Recently, I have opened up my schedule to accommodate male clients, after initially only treating females.

Doing pre- and postnatal treatments is one of my passions. To help (new) moms feel better (physically, but also emotionally and mentally) while working together to form a treatment plan that works, is priceless.

I am excited to offer Hot Bamboo Massages, in addition to relaxation, therapeutic, manual lymphatic drainage, hot stone, cupping, pre/post-natal, and induction massage. A combination of Swedish, therapeutic, trigger point, and gentle joint mobilization techniques softens tension and provides an effective massage.

I’m a mother of four: two moved-out ‘twenty-somethings’ and two teens. Having gone through four pregnancies, I empathize with women’s physical and emotional tension during pregnancy, after delivery, and throughout motherhood. I’m also familiar with the intensity, physical, emotional, and mental stress of Special Needs life and parenting, as a couple of my children are on the Autism Spectrum (with co-morbidities).

I love focusing on the head, neck, and back to melt away headaches, relax upper and lower back tension and increase circulation. I enjoy incorporating a scalp treatment to aid in relaxation and stress relief.

Regardless of a client’s needs, my aim is to create a safe, warm, and relaxing environment for everyone.

Services Offered:

  • Relaxation & Therapeutic Massage
  • Pre- & Post-natal Massage
  • Induction Massage Therapy
  • Hot Bamboo Massage
  • Hot Stone Massage

Amy is currently suffering from chronic migraines and although she feels awful doing so, she may need to cancel your appointment last minute on occasion. Thank you for your understanding.*

Amy graduated from MacEwan’s 2200-hour program in 2019! She uses a variety of techniques in her sessions including Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping, sports massage, and lymphatic drainage.

Amy’s passion for massage therapy stems from surgeries she underwent as a teenager. After her surgeries, she decided to take a more holistic approach to her recovery which included massage therapy and acupuncture. This experience showed her how powerful holistic modalities can be and right away she knew she wanted to give back using the same type of care that had helped her immensely. She is currently a second-year student in the Acupuncture program at MacEwan University. She plans to continue her education to better equip herself as a therapist and to provide the best quality of care she can.

In January of 2019, she began a case study on the Effects of Massage Therapy on Multiple Sclerosis. Nearly 2 years later, in December of 2020, she published a paper on this same case study in the International Journal of Therapeutic Bodywork and Massage. In her study, she focused on the patient’s fatigue level, mobility, and edema in the ankle affected by MS. The results suggested that massage therapy is effective in treating fatigue, mobility, and edema in those with MS. This study brought to light her passion for helping those that need treatment the most. Her article can be found here.

I love being a massage therapist and helping people ease their pain and regain their strength and mobility. Seeing people smile and hearing them say that I helped them reduce their stress levels is extremely rewarding.

Massage therapy has always been my passion. Back in the Philippines, I dreamed of becoming a massage therapist, but my kids were still small at the time so I had no time for training. After moving to Canada, I was able to fulfill this dream. I took a 2200-hour program at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy and graduated in 2014.

As my career progresses, I’m loving it even more. It’s fun and exciting, especially since I am trained in various different techniques and modalities. I practice Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue or Therapeutic Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Trigger Point and Myofascial Release.

Learning is a continuous process in my life. Throughout my career, I have participated in various workshops in order to provide my clients with the best treatment they can get. I am looking forward to meeting my clients at Therapeutic Body Concepts.

I graduated the Makami College 3000 hour Massage Therapy Program in August 2020! I chose Massage Therapy as a career path because I genuinely enjoy making other people feel better. Decreasing pain and increasing mobility can greatly contribute to a better, healthier life, which will enable others to do more of the things they love.

I love living an active lifestyle! I play a lot of soccer and volleyball, and whenever possible I enjoy freeing my soul, and rooting my mind in the beauty of nature in the mountains. I have a huge love for travel which has been growing ever since 2006. That year, I lived in Romania for 11 months attending a health missionary program, where I was trained in basic massage. I then was able to have first-hand experience helping others using massage therapy, at the nearby Health Center.
